Please be advised that the OH&S Knife Safety Pole does not fall into any categories of a Prohibited or Controlled Weapon under the Control of Weapons Act 1990.
Therefore, if the article is used for it’s intended purpose of defence against a knife attack it will be lawful to possess,
However that will change if it is used as a weapon.
In the State of Victoria, the OH&S Knife Safety Pole is legal to own & possess for the purpose of defence from a knife attack. It is not considered "Unreasonable Force" when used for its intended purpose of defence.
However, if someone was to use it as a weapon to initiate an attack on an unarmed person, they could be charged with an offence.
ONLY use this item for its intended purpose & design. It is designed to help create a safe distance if you are threatened or attacked with a knife or machete.
As this is a new concept for the OH&S industry,
it is your responsibility to comply with your individual States Legislation & relevant laws prior to the purchase or usage of our products
We take no responsibilities for any purchases made from interstate, or for any losses or damages incurred by the purchaser
